FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Consult other users' questions or contact us for more information.
Should I pop a blister before applying the dressing?
Do not pop the blister deliberately, but if it does occur, clean it with soap and water, soak it in a salt water bath for 10 minutes and cover it with a dressing.
Can I cut the dressing to fit my blister?
Cutting the dressings is not recommended because it would reduce the adhesion of the dressings. The shape of the dressings has been designed to ensure better adhesion. If you cut them out, you would undo their shape. We have the 6-pack which has dressings for different blister sizes: medium blisters (for heels), small blisters (for the sides of the feet) and toe blisters (for blisters in general).
When do I remove the dressing from the blister?
You should not remove the dressing prematurely. Wait until it begins to lift at the edges and can be easily peeled off.
Is it a single-use item or can it be reused several times?
The Senti2 dressing is intended for single use only. In case it falls off prematurely, do not try to put it back on. Use a new dressing instead.
Can I use a dressing on a blood blister?
A blood blister is a type of blister in which a blood vessel has ruptured below the surface of the skin. It can be treated like any other blister using a dressing. However, we recommend that special attention be paid to the healing process in this type of blister. If any doubt arises, consult a physician.
Can I use a dressing on an open, skinless blister?
You can use a dressing when the blister is open, as this will facilitate healing. The dressing will protect the blister from infection, dirt and water and create an environment that promotes healing. Before use, we recommend that you disinfect the wound.
How long does it take for the dressing to take effect on the blister?
Once in place, the dressing can provide instant relief of pain and pressure. The dressing acts as a second skin to help speed the healing process
Why do blister dressings turn white?
When the dressings turn white it means that the dressing is doing its job. In addition, this means that it is aiding healing.
